The Margaritaville Hotel, consisting of 229 rooms, is a carefully crafted endeavor featuring thoughtful design elements to provide a unique and immersive experience for guests. Positioned directly east of The Legends at the intersection of I-70 and I-435, the hotel is strategically located to become an integral part of the vibrant Kansas City community.

Among the many highlights of this development are an outdoor resort-style pool, an indoor pool, entertainment options for the entire family, versatile meeting and event spaces, a retail location, and Margaritaville-inspired restaurants and bars.

The collaborative effort behind the hotel's concept involves the creative interior design agency, The McBride Company, and the architect of record, Generator Studio. Construction partners include Turner Construction Company and Superior Bowen, with operational management by Davidson Hospitality Group.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Homefield KC and Sunflower Development Group to construct the new Homefield (Wyandotte County) multi-sport complex, opening in Spring 2024, and the new Margaritaville Hotel, which will be the place to be in KCK in 2025. As one of the leading sports and hospitality builders in the country, it's an honor to bring that expertise as we build state-of-the-art facilities for our youth in KC and provide top-notch hospitality for visitors as they come to enjoy our great city for years to come," said Karen Hogan, Turner Construction's vice president & general manager.

The neighboring $60 million indoor multi-sport venue features ten basketball courts that are convertible into volleyball courts; along with a lobby, coffee shop, fuel bar and lounge, speed strength and agility area, physical therapy area, full kitchen, concessions kiosks, and stadium-style seating.

Financial backing for the Margaritaville Hotel comes from VICI Properties Inc. (NYSE: VICI), an experiential real estate investment trust. VICI has committed up to $105 million in construction financing and holds a call option on the hotel, as well as three Homefield KC youth sports facilities.

As the hotel prepares to open its doors in Spring 2025, it marks a noteworthy chapter in Kansas City's journey, contributing to its reputation as a dynamic and sought-after destination. The Margaritaville Hotel promises not just accommodations but a unique and fun experience, embodying the spirit of Margaritaville in the heart of the Midwest.
