Bob. D. Campbell & Company, a leading structural engineering firm in the Kansas City area, has announced new executive leadership.
With a combined nearly 75 years of service to the firm, Mike Falbe, president, and Richard Crabtree, principal, have stepped back from their leadership roles and are continuing to actively work in the firm.
As of 2023, Chris Beverlin has been appointed to president, and Clark Basinger has been appointed to vice president. Beverlin is only the fourth president -- and also the youngest president -- to serve since Mr. Campbell founded the firm in 1957. With the firm since 2012, Chris Beverlin now leads strategic planning and growth alongside 10 principal shareholders as he stewards the firm’s transition into the next generation of ownership.
“We’re excited about what the future holds with Chris at the helm,” said Crabtree. “Chris has demonstrated outstanding work across critical roles within the office, and more importantly, Chris champions the same principles championed by the company’s leaders before him."
After graduating from Kansas State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in structures, Beverlin worked for a small firm before joining Bob D. Campbell in 2012. He became a licensed professional engineer in the State of Kansas in 2014 and was promoted to principal in 2017. Since joining Bob D. Campbell & Company, he has become licensed in 16 states, completed projects in 14 states and overseen the design for over one billion dollars in construction.

I greatly appreciate the mentorship I’ve received from Mike Falbe and Richard Crabtree, and to have the full support of our leadership team,” said Beverlin. “I’m excited to have Clark take on the vice president role and for us together to lead this company forward."
After graduating from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures, Basinger joined Bob D. Campbell & Company in 2005 and was promoted to principal in 2014, then vice president in 2023. Basinger is a LEED Accredited Professional with 18 years of experience in structural design of a variety of building types and materials. Licensed in eight states, Clark is proficient in the design of educational, office, retail, medical, multifamily, logistical and mixed-use facilities.
In 2023, the new leadership duo plans to carry on the tradition of excellence in expertise and service that the company has become known for.
