Happy 100th Birthday, Mr. Dunn!

This week, JE Dunn Construction is honoring and celebrating William Dunn, Sr. as he celebrates his 100th birthday on July 20th, now declared by the City of Kansas City, Missouri to be “Bill Dunn Sr. Day”. 

As the son of JE Dunn founder John Ernest Dunn, William Dunn, Sr., has left an indelible mark on the company and the Kansas City community. With an incredible tenure of 73 years at JE Dunn, he served in various roles, ascending from a dedicated laborer to the esteemed position of chairman emeritus before his retirement in January 2020.

Mr. Dunn's unwavering passion for construction and his steadfast adherence to the golden rule philosophy have been the driving force behind the company's enduring success. His visionary leadership has transformed skylines, with significant projects like the Worlds of Fun amusement park and the iconic Kauffman Performing Arts Center, etching his legacy into the urban landscape.

Beyond his profound impact on the company, Mr. Dunn's values have extended to nurturing meaningful relationships, making him the heart of JE Dunn.
