Brokers from Block & Company Inc. Realtors have negotiated a deal that will bring a new medical user to Plaza at the Speedway.
Representing the property owner, Block & Co.'s David Block and Alex Block sold 1.59 acres at the shopping center located at I-435 and Parallel Parkway in Kansas City, Kan. Represented by Cary Fox and Bill Shakelford of AREA Real Estate Advisors, the undisclosed buyer plans to build a 16,400-square-foot new medical facility at the site.
The Plaza at the Speedway is an 850,000-square-foot retail power shopping center, located in the epicenter of a major tourism district surrounded by attractions like the NASCAR Kansas Speedway, The Legends Kansas City Outlets, Hollywood Casino, Sporting Park, as well as Cerner's new 600,000-square-foot office campus. According to Block, the area attracts more than 14 million visitors annually.
Block & Co. is the leasing/development agent and construction manager for the Plaza at the Speedway development. Anchor space, pad sites, and small shop spaces are still available.
