Architectural firm HDA is expanding out of St. Louis with plans to open a second office in the Denver, Colo. area by the end of the year.

HDA, along with its sister company, O'Toole Design Associates, an interior design firm, will have a Denver presence at 1212 S. Broadway in Denver. Both firms operate with parent company, Green Street Building Group, which subleased 1,000 SF of space from Jordy Construction a year ago.

"Targeting to build a larger presence in the Denver and Colorado Springs area has been in the works for quite some time. We are ready and excited to have a second location in Denver," said Patrick Holleran, vice president of HDA.

In October 2020, Green Street acquired HDA, one of St. Louis' largest architecture firms. Green Street grew quickly from there - from 10 to 85 employees over the past three years.

In Denver, HDA and Green Street are hiring six to 10 staff to begin the new office operations, with plans to grow to a staff of 25 over the next three years.

With multiple projects already under its belt, HDA is not new to the Colorado scene. The firm has designed three large facilities in Littleton, Pueblo, and Alamosa for Standard Sales Company and two projects for Waterway Gas & Wash Company in Parker and Broomfield. They are currently working on a consulting project in Colorado Springs and a project at an event center in Snowmass with O'Toole Design.
