The Opus Group and Cadence Living break ground on Cadence Broomfield

The Opus Group (Opus) and Cadence Living recently announced the start of construction on Cadence Broomfield, a three-story, 165-unit senior living development in Broomfield, Colo.

The senior living community, which is scheduled to open in late spring 2024, will provide a continuum of housing and care choices, including independent living, assisted living and memory care.

The project is a joint venture between Opus, Cadence Living, and Eagle Realty Group. Cadence Living, which currently operates four senior communities in Colorado, will operate and manage the Broomfield community.

"Broomfield is a dynamic location perfect for residents to engage in the many amenities this area has to offer," said Brett Hopper, vice president of real estate development at Opus at the groundbreaking ceremony. "We are proud to bring this development to the City of Broomfield."

“This new development will offer seniors in the Denver area a vibrant community in a beautiful new building with a wide array of services,” said Cadence Living principal Rob Leinbach. “Cadence Broomfield looks forward to being an integral part of this community.”

The senior living community is located at 4275 West 121st Avenue in the City of Broomfield, a growing area located midway between Denver and Boulder. The location, which is adjacent to Bradburn Village, provides easy access to transportation, retail, healthcare and trail systems. The four-wing building will feature a mix of studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments. The memory care area will include 20 units in a one-story wing with a neighborhood design, including a separate entrance.

The building’s exterior will be a mix of metal, panel and stucco, with large windows. The overall design and roof pitches will match the panoramic slopes of the Front Range. Cadence Broomfield’s interior design will include high-end finishes with a modern and contemporary aesthetic. The project includes a two-story main lobby, mailroom, salon, a café bistro, dining room, private dining room, clubroom, activity room, fitness center, movie theater, library, game area, arts and crafts room and wellness center. Outdoor amenities include an outdoor patio, fire pit with seating area, grilling station and therapy garden.

Opus is the developer, design-builder, architect and structural engineer of record. The interior designer is Thoma-Holec Design.
