Paragon Star's ultimate sports and lifestyle development finally becomes reality

Construction is officially underway on the first building of The Village at Paragon Star, a $250 million mixed-use development located at the intersection of I-470 and View High Drive in Lee's Summit, Mo. The must-anticipated project marks the latest step in Paragon's mission to create the ultimate sports and lifestyle destination.

Previously, Paragon’s focus centered around the construction of a state-of-the-art sports complex on the site, which includes ten FIFA-compliant artificial turf fields, enhanced concessions, pickleball and sand volleyball courts, a multi-level ropes course and an all-new trailhead - all on track to be completed in time for this spring's soccer season.

“While there has been work at the complex happening for almost a decade, most of the millions we’ve invested thus far has gone into infrastructure that is not visible to the naked eye,” said Flip Short, Paragon Star’s Chief Executive Officer. “Now as people drive past the complex, they should see the green fields at the sports complex and soon virtual structures within The Village. I’ve been excited about this project since day one, but now the community can get excited too.”

The mixed-use structure (now under construction) will feature 70,000 SF of space; including 35,000 SF of retail and dining on the first floor, and 35,000 SF of Class A office space on the second floor. Designed by Finkle + Williams Architecture, the building will anchor the central plaza and include outdoor dining areas. The addition is expected to be complete by late 2023/early 2024.

“The energy within Paragon Star just keeps growing. The fields are almost complete, and teams will begin playing on them in the very near future. What has looked like just moving a lot of dirt to the community is now starting to look like the vision we’ve been sharing for years,” said Short.

Upon completion, The Village entertainment district will include luxury apartments, hotel lodging and office space, as well as an entertainment district surrounding an inviting open-air plaza - all nestled into a lush, natural landscape intertwined with the Little Blue River and bordered by the Little Blue Trace and Rock Island Trails.

"Paragon Star will be the epitome of work hard, play harder with the development offering professional office space as well as convenient access to grab lunch, celebrate a job well done in the restaurants on the first floor, or take a quick stroll on one of the area’s trails," said Short.

In the near future, Paragon Star will be introducing luxury apartments to the development, making it a perfect option for those seeking a comprehensive, convenient living experience. The addition of these apartments will further solidify Paragon Star as a one-stop destination - from work and shopping to dining and living.
