BNIM settles for Crown Center HQ
After plans for a living headquarters in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District fell through, BNIM has announced it has found a new 20,000 square foot home in Crown Center. The locally based architecture firm will take up residence in one of the Edward Larrabee Barnes’ Pershing Buildings, otherwise known as a “skyscraper on its side.”

The original 107,000-square-foot building was constructed in 1904, then renovated and expanded with a 25,000-square-foot concrete addition in 1985. It was renovated again in 2007. Today, the six-story, 132,000-square-foot center serves as a primary gateway to Kansas City’s central business district.
